Mysterious disease or ailment transmitted to you by getting to close to someone who was dirty or smelly, and that you could in turn transmit to other people by touching them. e.g. if you got too close to someone who was dirty you then had 'the bugs'. People who were particularly dirty were called either 'bugsy boy' or 'bugsy girl'. Note. You could protect yourself from the bugs by clutching the top of your arm (I'd imagine this came from holding the area where you had your inoculation jab) and shouting, '1,2,3,4,5 bugs injection all over for life'. This was a primary school practise and died out by the time you got to secondary school.
Homosexual (veiled reference to anal sex.) Widely used in Northern Scotland, but also noted in other areas. It is likely that it came into widespread use as the word "jobby" became popularised by Billy Connolly in the'70s.
Insult, especially used towards anyone considered 'tubby. Used as "You fat Jabba", or "He/She's a fat Jabba", or "Hey Jabba!" Very rarely used without being preceded by the adjective 'fat'.
Similar in form and effect to 'clogsies' and 'injectified' but added a dimension whereby one could shout "Jab for life" which indicated that the involved party could not be tagged for the rest of the ad-hoc game.
Noun. A hypodermic injection, a vaccination. E.g."You don't need hepatitis jabs to visit Cornwall, it's not a foreign country."
